I am a programmer / database engineer working as Senior Game Designer / Lead Technical Designer for BioWare, a division of EA.
My technical background in systems development and programming spans from DOS 3.0, Linux 2.2 up to Windows Server 2008/.Net 3.5.
Video games I have contributed to in the last 6+ years in the industry on include:
Technical areas of expertise include the design, implementation and supervision of game rules and progression systems, low level game systems such as perception, pathfinding, game effects and AI, VMs / scripting engines, network programming, telemetry and achievement systems, build and tools pipeline, data driven systems design, localization frameworks, performance visualization, user created content frameworks and optimization on PCs and Consoles.
Creative areas of expertise include high level gameplay and combat design, story and plot flow and content arc planning.
Experience as a manager includes managing, scheduling and reviewing teams of small to medium size (2-10 people) on AAA projects, scheduling, Agile/Scrum (Certified Scrum Master), workflow analysis and optimization, creation and enforcement of development standards and protocols, resource prioritization and defect tracking.
I am a .NET framework and C# expert and proficient in a large number of programming / scripting languages and databases, including C++, C, Lua, Python, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, SqlLite, SQLServer.
